Makumira Farm Project

Since 2015, Partners with Meru has supported the Diocese of Meru commercial development of their Makumira Farm property which is located along the main highway locally known as "the tarmac road". The 290 acres of the Makumira Farm land was surveyed into 78 plots strategically located to support economic empowerment and job creation. The first plot developed was a fuel station.

Huduma House Retail Center 

Located in Usa River, this mall provides separate rental units for small businesses which provides income for Diocese of Meru ministries.

Diocese of Meru Rest House

Located walking distance to the Diocese of Meru office, the gated Rest House offers seven self-contained rooms with comfortable beds and home cooked meals. It’s the perfect "feels like home" accommodations for delegation visits.

Astronomical Observatory Tourism

Located at the entrance to Arusha National Park, the Mount Meru Astronomical Observatory offers a unique star gazing experience in the heart of Tanzania. The Observatory benefits from minimal light pollution making it an ideal spot for viewing the wonders of the night sky through a high-powered telescope on the Ailanga Secondary School campus.
